How to add a extension file to be open with specific style in Notepad++

I enjoy the the idea of writing code within GPU, and I was trying to set up the environment in Notepad++, style, fonts, and layaout, everything went correct till the moment I tried to use the default method to open extension with predefined style, It just wont work, I was trying to open a .shader file (Unite type file), with c++(cpp), for some reason the default method wasnt working, so instead I was reaquired to process the next steps.

Open Appdata folder

Press "WindowsKey + R" this would open the Run window, then you need to type Appdata, then press ok, or "Enter key", this would open the next folder

Open langx.xml file

What you need to do next is open the next path in the AppData folder

"C:\Users\Elity\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++"

Once you are there you need to open the langx.xml file with a text editor, you could use windows default notepad, or even the same notepad++.

Add the extension in the langx.xml file

The next step would be search for language type, you want to use to open related files with similar styles

In this particular case I wanted to open files with extensions
".shader"
".compute"
".hlsl"
".cginc"

Once you have added the languages that you needed, save the file and re-open notepad++, if you used notepad++ to edit the langx.xml file you need to close and re-open the program to check the changes effected.

Remember that you must check before if the extension could be added normally with the options offer by default.
